Chapter 2-9

"I just won't" Chad said sternly, "I look like a pimp." Both Morris and I laughed loudly, Morris wheeled himself towards Chad. "Ah you look lovely." he said, winding Chad up even further. "That's it!" Chad shouted as he ripped the jacket off and stormed to the other side of the shop, I turned to Morris and frowned, "stop winding him up" I said, trying not to laugh. We had three weeks to the wedding and this little spat was over the colour of the suit lining, now admittedly it was bright purple paisley but it's what Jane wanted and for peets sake it was only the lining. I walked over to Chad and put my arm around his shoulder, trying not to laugh I lowered my tone "mate" I said in a long protracted way "I know your paying for the suits, but I implore you, please let her have this one." Chad looked at me angrily, "you my friend" he said jamming his finger into my chest "owe me, big time." I smiled and nodded at the shop attendant, we were set, only shoes to get and they were next.

The next problem on the list was the car, Jane was set on being taken to the church in an old model T ford. We had an issue with this as it wasn't the money it was actually getting hold of one. Jane was getting stressed, "Have you even tried!" she screamed at me while throwing a pile of clothes on the floor. "Yes dear." I replied in a somewhat sarcastic way. Jane looked at me in that way she did when she was about to yell, suddenly her faced changed as she crashed to the bed holding her head. I rushed to hold her, "What can I get you" I asked quietly she pointed to the pain killers on the shelf, I got her some. These migraines were getting worse, her biggest fear was one happening on the wedding day. She took the tablets and I cuddled her on the bed, the silence was broken by a knock at the door.

I opened the door to find Chad standing there with a big grin on his face. "Hi mate, come in." I said quietly make a shush gesture with my finger to my lips. He looked at Jane sitting on the bed and pointed to his own head with a knowing look on his face, sitting next to Jane he gently put his arm around her, she smiled as he whispered something in her ear. I closed the door and he waved us both to the window, looking down we were confronted with Morris in his wheel chair waving frantically. "I don't get it" I said "what are we looking at" then Morris did that motion all good game show girls do when showing the prize, next to him, parked, was a fully restored model T ford. Jane's face lit up, "How?" She said. "ah!" Chad replied "Morris knows a guy.....".
